From the shadows, I play on whispered tears
in melodic twilight blooming in the open street and I
dance twinkling gems upon your lips in
some spiral rendition of your
Past Life Regression
My delectable tongue and dolorous lungs play
out smoke signals in the garden stage of
Good and Eden, and yet you dare to mock me
a harbinger?
I played you a silver opera on the bare
backs of whales singing in the sea
delirious in the dizzying pursuit
of velveteen madness and you
still dared call me unfaithful to my
cause
yet I can’t seem to meet your hazel
blue gaze because of the things it might
revel to me, so I walk with my eyes closed
waiting patiently until the
brown-edged cliff throws me into
the sky
then, I will see dreams turn mud
and the stars become nothing but
twinkles of past lies
because I know everything is doomed
to fall
and I see my reflection cast in the
silver steel of the moon
and realize some things don’t fall
because they’ve already hit bottom
and there’s no where to go
<Am I trapped?>

especially the walking with the eyes closed part. i didn't think the end was quite as strong as your beginning but regardless, this is really great.
